I grew up in New Jersey. I lived here until I left to attend college at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. I graduated with a degree in elementary education and a concentration in early childhood education. During my college years, I taught an inclusive preschool class at. By my senior year, I was promoted to an assistant director position. I left this job in September to begin my teaching career in Montgomery County, Maryland. In that district I taught a 2nd/3rd combination for one year, and third grade for three years. I left after my fourth year to pursue a master’s degree. I was awarded a grant to attend The George Washington University. During that time I taught in the D.C. I taught middle and high school students with emotional disabilities. I returned to Montgomery County, Maryland in 1997 to teach a class of ED 4th and 5th graders. I moved back to New Jersey in the summer of 1998. I have been teaching at Tamaques since then! I taught the Transitional Kindergarten, then I moved to third grade and now I find myself teaching first grade.
